I was introduced to Laughter Yoga about 11 years ago and it was a ‘lightbulb’ moment for me – I loved it and it felt so natural. Laughter Yoga is an aerobic and cardiovascular exercise that, although we can practically do from birth, we forget to use. I trained to be a Certified Leader in 2010 and a Certified Teacher in 2013, initially running Laughter Yoga clubs locally before taking Laughter Yoga to corporations, wellbeing events, festivals, community events and voluntary organisations. I wanted to share the benefits of regular laughter with everyone to uplift moods, reduce stress, boost immune systems and build cooperation and connectivity between teams. It’s also a great coping mechanism to use in times of adversity.
